Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Jürgen Prokop, President, European Association of Manufacturing Technologies (CECIMO)
Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Jürgen Prokop has a degree in engineering from the University of Stuttgart. He started his career within the Institute of Machine Components in Stuttgart where he obtained his doctorate degree in Engineering in 1989. After holding various external positions as Managing Director at Thyssen/Krupp in Essen, Fritz Studer AG in Steffisburg, Switzerland, and Frigoblock in Essen, in 2012 he became a Managing Director of Development and Purchasing at TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co. KG. Since 2017, Heinz-Jürgen Prokop has been a member of the Group Executive Board as CEO MT. Dr.-Ing. Prokop was Chairman of the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) for the last 6 years and is a Board member of CECIMO since 2020.
Marcus Burton, Chairman of the CECIMO Economic Committee
Marcus Burton joined Yamazaki Mazak* as Group Business Development Director for Europe in October 2005. He was appointed Managing Director of Yamazaki Mazak U.K. Ltd in October 2007 and European Group Managing Director in January 2010 responsible to Japan for all Mazak’s European operations including Manufacturing, Engineering and the European Sales and Service subsidiary companies. Mr Burton was also appointed as a non-executive Director of Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd, with specific interest in future business direction and external relations. In addition to his on-going role as a special advisor for Mazak, Mr Burton is a past President and Board member of the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) and serves as Chairman of the Economic Committee of CECIMO, the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies.
Mao Yufeng, President and Legal Representative of the eighth and ninth council of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders’ Association (CMTBA)
Mr. Mao Yufeng, is the President and Legal Representative of the eighth and ninth council of CMTBA. He was also the financial Director and general manager of Beier Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd., and vice president of the seventh council of CMTBA.
Douglas K. Woods, President, The Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT)
Douglas K. Woods joined AMT as its President in 2009. A lifelong manufacturing professional, Doug is dedicated to promoting the world’s most innovative manufacturing technology and positioning AMT as a leader on issues that impact the industry.
In his time at AMT, Doug has led the effort in developing MTConnect, the industry-wide interoperability standard that has grown in usage across a wide scope of manufacturing operations around the world. Additionally, he has overseen the development of MTInsight, a customized manufacturing business intelligence platform, as well as an expansion of AMT’s Global Technology Centers and the growth of IMTS, the largest manufacturing technology event in the western hemisphere. Doug sits on several industry boards, including the Reshoring Initiative; the MTConnect Institute; the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining.
Kazuo Yuhara, President, Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA)
Kazuo Yuhara is currently the President of JMTBA, Japan’s Machine Tool Builders’ Association. In the past, he assumed various positions for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), including Director-General of the Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. He was also Senior Executive Officer Audit (2014-2018) and Supervisory Board Member (2018-2020) of the Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
