EMO Hannover 2023 opens its doors again to innovators from all over the globe

Today, one of the world’s largest trade shows for metalworking industry – EMO Hannover, opens its door again in Germany after a four-year break.  From 18 – 23 September, Hannover will be the epicentre of production technology bringing together international technology innovators.  

The President of CECIMO, Dr.-Ing. Heinz-Jürgen Prokop, officially opened EMO 2023 saying: "I am deeply honoured by the consistent and amazing participation that EMO Hannover continues to attract. Over the next 6 days, more than 1800 exhibitors from 42 countries will showcase the latest manufacturing systems, technologies and solutions for all aspects of manufacturing value chains. This is an undeniable testament to the vibrancy and dynamism of the industry - a sector that is constantly evolving, innovating and pushing the boundaries of what is possible." 

The theme of the event this year is "Innovative Manufacturing" and EMO provides a unique platform to highlight the significance of innovation as a pivotal driver for economic prosperity. The innovative solutions will be felt everywhere: from exhibitors's booths to the variety of events and discussions that will take place over the next 6 days. 

Innovation, connected systems, smart manufacturing and data-driven are the key drivers of the new industrial age, helping to redesign production processes to make them smarter, more efficient, faster, safer and more environmentally friendly. Greater sustainability requires new technologies, solutions and products across the value chain, opening up huge opportunities for growth. 

“It is clear that the future of our industry depends on our commitment to investing in new technologies and acquiring digital skills. The huge contribution that generative artificial intelligence can make to this was unimaginable until recently. Those who know how to harness it will be at the forefront of the industry,” said Dr Prokop.
