CECIMO Spring
Meetings 2022
The CECIMO Spring Meetings, hosted by MTA (Manufacturing Technologies Association), took place in Edinburgh, UK between 11-14 June 2022.
The four days programme covered some of the most important issues in the manufacturing sector and reperesented a great opportunity to exchange views on Europe’s industrial and competition policy, which is essential for the development of the digital and innovative industry of the future.
EVENT OVERVIEW
Saturday, 11 June
The Spring Meetings 2022 kicked off with the Board meeting at 1:30 pm (reserved for Board members only). At the end of the day, all the Delegates and their partners are invited to the Welcome and Networking Drinks reception.
Sunday, 12 June
The social programme on Sunday took delegates out of Edinburgh to admire the stunning Lowland scenery in The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Delegates and partners had the opportunity to experience Scottish nature, infrastructure, food and traditional drink tasting.
Monday, 13 June
The Spring meetings started with interactive committee meetings focused on burning issues such as supply chain disruptions, standardisation strategy and AM market trends. In the afternoon, the high-level guests from business and politics participated in the main conference on “Shaping the Future of Manufacturing”. Later in the day, we tackled the topic of Circular Economy in the MT sector. The day eneded with the CECIMO Gala Dinner in Edinburgh Castle.
Tuesday, 14 June
On the last day of the CECIMO Spring Meetings, we presented global and macro-economic issues, followed by the Open Forum, where we had the opportunity to debate on important issues. The General Assembly looked at CECIMO activities and get your ideas for the future. We closed the event with the farewell lunch.
